Since childhood, I haven't spent a day without drawing or painting.
Various journals, pieces of wood, old books, tableclothes, portraits of people I see… I'm taking any occasion to sketch something…
Acrylics, gouache, watercolors, colored pencils, pastels, pens, liners, inks… and sometimes tea, coffee, collage of old papers and vintage music scores.
I love mixing media and playing with their particularities.
Spontaneity is a big part of my process, I really like getting inspired by the unexpected (starting from a stain of ink, picking words randomly, improvising a melody…), then finding an inventive answer to turn those things into an illustration, a song, or any other creation…
I started illustrating books in 2011, I had the opportunity to work with many publishing houses, from France and abroad.
And a few years ago, I decided to create self-published books too, in order to have more creative freedom.
This allows me to make hybrid projects gathering my various passions, or to turn some of my journals into books (as I did with this planner that I filled with comics last year).
Sometimes, I also like mixing paper and textile, to create illustrations, embroidered brooches and many other things…
