Artist statement
Drawing and painting are essential to me every day, and they unfold across my canvases and sketchbooks as well as on found books and objects.
My work explores a variety of themes, ranging from nature to scenes of everyday life, sometimes touching on a more dreamlike dimension. What matters to me is not so much the subject itself as the atmosphere: a softness often tinged with a slight melancholy, like an invitation into a timeless poetic interlude.

The repurposing of objects and the reuse of materials fascinate me because of the richness they carry. A rusted box or a book with pages yellowed by time becomes a precious and inspiring surface.
I work intuitively, embracing letting go and spontaneity. I use a variety of media in search of unique textures, and I often incorporate paper and fabric collages to diversify the materials. Chance and accident are part of my process, allowing the outcome to remain fluid and opening the way to unexpected directions.

My current research is structured around three main areas: the first explores the theme of the fox through experiments on paper, wood, and textile, the second focuses on painting large canvases with surreal tones and the third is a series of portraits. Although these three approaches differ, they interact and nourish the work I develop day after day.
